Privacy Policy

This launch policy explains what SteadySay may collect and why. It is a product-ready draft and should be reviewed by counsel before paid public launch.

Data we collect

  • Account data such as email address, authentication tokens, and basic profile details.
  • Subscription data such as plan, billing status, credit balance, checkout events, and portal access events.
  • Interview context you provide, including job descriptions, resumes, notes, transcripts, typed questions, and generated answers.
  • Audio, screen, or transcript data when you enable capture features and request coaching.
  • Diagnostics such as app version, operating system, API host, capture state, error messages, and crash logs.

How we use data

We use data to authenticate your account, provide AI coaching, personalize answers, sync your overlay settings and documents, process subscription status, prevent abuse, debug failures, and improve product reliability.

We do not need your raw interview content for advertising. Do not use customer interview content for public demos, testimonials, or marketing without explicit permission.

Service providers

SteadySay may use third-party providers for authentication infrastructure, AI models, transcription, cloud hosting, analytics, email delivery, support, and payment processing. Stripe handles hosted checkout and billing portal flows. Providers should only process data as needed to deliver the service.

Your controls

  • You can sign out from the desktop app.
  • You can remove local context documents from the overlay.
  • You can request account deletion, data export, or deletion of synced overlay documents by contacting support.
  • You can choose not to enable microphone, screen, or system audio permissions, although some features may not work.

Retention and security

Retain account, billing, and support records as needed for the service, compliance, fraud prevention, and dispute handling. Retain synced overlay settings and documents until the user deletes them or requests deletion. Use encryption in transit and reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards.
